Sean Dwyer, CFA, CFP Overture Wealth Management Conshohocken PA

I am the founder and sole practitioner at Overture. I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter, and the IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) license. My professional background provides clients access to advanced financial planning, investment management, and tax expertise.

I began my career at UBS Financial Services in Pittsburgh in 2003. Early on, I recognized that the traditional brokerage model didn’t fully align with my belief in putting clients first. In 2004, I joined Vanguard, where I spent 14 years developing deep expertise in retirement planning, investor education, and portfolio management. Before founding Overture, I spent six years as a Wealth Manager at a Philadelphia-based registered investment advisor, advising high-net-worth clients on comprehensive financial planning and portfolio management.

Inspired by Jack Bogle, Vanguard’s founder and a champion of low-cost investing, I follow the principle that investors ultimately retain only their net returns—after fund expenses, advisory fees, transaction costs, and taxes. This philosophy guides Overture’s disciplined approach to portfolio management, with a focus on cost-conscious, tax-aware strategies.

I live near Philadelphia with my wife and two daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, biking along the Schuylkill River Trail, and cheering on the Steelers and Pitt Panthers.
